About the Dinner Club
At our Probus Club, we have a monthly dinner outing, open to all members. All of the restaurants are chosen by one of the dinner group members as part of a signup process at the beginning of each year. Whoever selects the restaurant then act as the host for the evening. This process of having different hosts creates diversity and interest and thereby exposes all Club members to a great variety of food venues.
Being a host means that you make the reservation, notify the group of when and where the Dinner Club will meet, and then greet members when they arrive at the restaurant. There is a dinner group email list, so it is easy to send out an invitation.
Benefits of belonging to the Dinner Club
The Dinner Club provides an excellent opportunity to share a meal and lively, interesting conversation with other Probus members and to make new friends as a result.
As part of this Club, you can try a wide variety of different restaurants and new cuisines. The Club usually meets at the restaurant in the early evening, usually between 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The restaurants selected offer good value for the participants.
All members pay for their own meals as only restaurants that are prepared to issue separate bills are visited. If a restaurant contacted refuses to issue separate bills, then the host will choose a different restaurant.
Upcoming Meetings
The Dinner Club meets on the second Thursday of the month. See the list for recent dinner dates, hosts, and locations.
