Benefits of belonging to the Camera Club
Perhaps the biggest benefit is that the Camera Club members get to meet and make new friends with others interested in digital photography to discuss their hobby and to socialize over a cup of tea or coffee
Belonging to the Camera Club is one way of learning through doing; namely, from taking photographs relating to an assignment, putting together a slide show and learning from the critique of other club members and their identification of the best in the presentation. Members are then encouraged to submit their best photographs to the monthly Newsletter and to this Website for publication to the Club membership.
Members also have an opportunity to take other photographs to support various sections of the Club’s Newsletter and Website.
As well, members are encouraged to improve their presentation, post-processing and creative skills by using software; such as, PowerPoint, Windows 10 Photos, Microsoft Clipchamp for videos, Photoshop and other programs being used by different members to develop their creative side and perhaps discover applications for the final product; i.e., framing, greeting cards, storytelling, then join us to learn from and share with other photographers.
Upcoming Meetings
The Camera Club meets on the second Monday of the month year-round at 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
