Through the Grapevine #57

The Kingsway/Islington Wine Tasters’ group were hosted by Ruth Warren and Pat and Murray Wood in the month of October. As usual we sampled two red and two white wines.

The most popular of the afternoon was Jacob’s Creek Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon This medium-bodied blend boasts flavours of blackberry and plum, with hints of pepper, smooth tannins and subtle oak.

Legendary in South Eastern Australia, Jacob’s Creek presents a modern expression of the classic Aussie blend of shiraz and cabernet sauvignon red wine. Expect aromas of dark cherry and plum with mocha spice. The palate offers blackberry, plum with pepper and subtle oak. Enjoy with steak, pizza or tomato-based pasta dishes.
