THE RACES, FRIDAY AFTERNOON, JUNE 21st (possible new event)
Do you remember that in June we used to have lunch at the Woodbine racetrack and bet on the horses? We had such fun! We have had some of our members ask if we are doing it again this year.
As you are probably aware, the racetrack changed with the construction of a hotel. They are offering lunch and the races on a Friday afternoon in June. The date we have chosen is Friday, June 21st. Unfortunately, they don’t have that delicious buffet. There is a set meal for $62.00 plus tax and tip for a total of $82.67. The menu includes a choice of salads, chicken, salmon or vegetarian, dessert, and tea or coffee.
We are sending this note out to see if anyone would be interested. We need 20 people to hold it. The Deadline is May 10th. Please send an email to marypatmulligan@gmail.com so that she can monitor the numbers and get back to you.
