Dinner Club #5

On May 11th, 22 people from the Dinner Club met at Leao D’ouro at 920 Dundas Street East in Mississauga, just west of Tomken Road. Maggie Hoffmann and Tim Sulisz picked this Portuguese restaurant as it is easy to get there, they have parking behind the building, a washroom on the same level, and provide separate bills. Probus members said that they really liked the restaurant with its white table cloths, and that they enjoyed the food there. No one went home hungry because the portion sizes were ample.

Leão D’ouro says that they serve authentic Norte Portuguese cuisine with a mixture of southern Portuguese, Mediterranean, and Canadian choices. For more than 40 years they have cooked every dish like they are making it for their families— with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Enjoy a pan-seared grouper, their famous grilled chicken, with a vast assortment of wine imported straight from Portugal’s heartland.
