On October 12th, we were fortunate to have Chris Allum and Allister Field from the Ontario Securities Commission together with two law students from the Investor Protection Clinic address our club. We had a great turnout with 38 participants. Their presentation on Protect Your Money not only raised our awareness to the possibility of falling victim to sophisticated scammers but also addressed how to work with your financial advisor and the system to ensure that you are well protected. Their presentation is on our Probus website in the Investment Club section (password Club 193). If you were unable to attend, it is worth a few minutes of your time.
