After 18 months of meeting via Zoom, members of the Wine Tasting Club were very happy to be able to meet in person for their August 5th meeting. Due to loosening of COVID-19 restrictions that allowed outdoor gatherings of more than five people, we were able to get together in the Rayners’ back yard. A delicious variety of savoury and sweet snacks were served as we sampled four wines from Argentina in weather that was perfect for the occasion.
The four wines that were sampled are:
Fuzion Organic Chardonnay from Mendoza, Argentina (2020). 13% alcohol; $11.95.
Graffigna Pinot Grigio from San Juan, Argentina (2019). 13.5% alcohol; $13.05.
Alamos Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendoza, Argentina (2019). 13.5% alcohol; $15.95.
La Linda Private Selection Old Vines Malbec (2018). 14.2% alcohol; $16.00.
The group is looking forward to continuing to meet and to sampling more wines in September.
